Elaine Reeves wrote a weekly newspaper column about food in Tasmania for just short of 30 years, chronicling the start of enterprises now emblematic of the state’s fine food – saffron, wasabi, raw-milk cheese, wagyu, olive oil, elderflower, walnut, truffles and sea urchin roe. She is also the author of the stories in A Table in the Valley, with Huon Valley recipes by Steve Cumper.
