Can I access the site or use a drone to capture images? No, there is no access to the site and drones can not be used.
Does the work have to be specifically/literally about the Bridge? It can be, it could also be conceptual, so not just the physical bridge. For example, the work could be a respose to emotional bridges between people or culture. It could be something to do with the bridges surrounds, the river, the swans etc.
I am a family member of a contractor working on The Bridge project site, can I enter? Yes, only contractors working on site are ineligable for the main prize. Although they may enter the contractors Prize category.
I am residing in Tasmania, but have only recently moved here, am I eligable to enter the prize? As long as you can prove your current address is in Tasmania then you are eligable.
I have some art work I’d like to enter, but it was created a couple of years ago for another exhibition, can I enter this work in the prize? No , the work needs to have been created in the last 12 months and not have been previously exhibited.
Can I submit more than one entry? Yes, you can enter as many times as you want. Each entry will require a separate entry form, and payable entry fee.
Derwent Valley Art Board and Committee members are ineligible to enter The Bridge Art Prize, with the exception of members. Please see terms and conditions for full details.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION We love that you want to enter our art prize, but please DO NOT enter any of the new bridge’s project construction areas – it is unsafe to do so. Here are some locations where you can safely view the project: Nielsen Esplanade or Wallace Street in Bridgewater, Granton Memorial Hall on the Lyell Highway or Dickenson Drive in Granton.
