Self Isolated

Derwent Valley Arts presents our August exhibition ‘Self Isolated’ - a collection of works by Chen Ping.

This exhibition consists of a collection of paintings done over the past two years during the pandemic - it is supported by Colville Gallery and the Derwent Valley Council.

The exhibition is open 13/14, 20/21, & 27/28 August.

Artefacts from the Dead Letter Office

Derwent Valley Arts presents our July exhibition, ‘Artefacts from the Dead Letter Office’ - an incredible collection of works by Matt Warren, curated by Michelle Dracoulis.

This exhibition is a collection of previously unseen, or rarely seen studio experiments, sketches and completed works created between 2016 and 2022. It includes wall-based objects, drawings, sound and video works. In addition, the artist has created two new, site specific ‘(en)snare’ works based on location field recordings sourced from the site. Supported by Salamanca Arts Centre and the Derwent Valley Council.

The exhibition is open 9/10, 16/17, & 23/24 July.

Non-Linear Histories #2: Genetic Legacies

Derwent Valley Arts presents our June exhibition ‘Non-Linear Histories #2: Genetic Legacies’ - a collection of incredible works by Dr. Svenja Kratz.

This is Svenja’s second exhibition with Derwent Valley Arts and we are excited to be hosting her work again. Exhibition supported by Salamanca Arts Centre and the Derwent Valley Council.

The exhibition is open 11/12, 18/19, & 25/26 June.

Artists of the Valley 2022

Derwent Valley Arts presents our May exhibition - a group exhibition of local Derwent Valley Artists, featuring: Joe Collings-Hall, Corinne Costello, Frances Gray, Sandra Potter, Duncan Rush, Rosie Reid, and Eva Schultz.

Our Film Society meets on the first Friday of each month at The Bunker - underneath the Memorial Hall on Circle Street, New Norfolk. The doors and bar open at 6:15pm and the film commences at 7pm.
